Welcome to Aviator-Sunglasses.net!
Yep, that’s me on the left wearing a pair of Randolph Aviator sunglasses.
I have a been taking a long journey in aviation beginning with my first flying lesson on February 25, 1961 to my current business selling aviator sunglasses and pilot supplies through several online venues. That journey has taken me from Private Pilot to Flight Instructor to Charter Pilot to Corporate Pilot to aviator sunglasses entrepreneur. In 1974 I stopped flying as a full-time occupation to starting my own aviation insurance agency which I sold 30 years later in 2004. But I am still active in aviation and unwilling to simply fly off into the sunset, so I started my journey into online ecommerce and am still enjoying the personal interaction with pilots and aviation buffs through my online business Pilot Supplies & Sunglasses LLC.
On this website I sell only what I consider the very best aviator sunglasses from AO Eyewear, Inc. (formerly American Optical Company), Randolph Engineering, Scheyden Precision Eyewear and Serengeti sunglasses. In addition, we offer Randolph Engineering’s RE Ranger Professional Shooting Eyewear for those of us who enjoy sport shooting.
As I have aged, I find myself needing prescription lenses, and as a result we also offer Bi-Focal & Single Vision Prescription lenses and AO Eyewear and Randolph Engineering prescription frames for your convenience.
Our love and passion for aviation means that our aviator sunglasses story is still unfolding as our entrepreneurial spirit and love of aviation continues to drive our mission. Our passion is to bring the very best aviators to pilots, adventurers and fashionistas alike, but since the very first day our mission has been crystal clear.
By exploring, learning and testing we have been able to discover what makes a great pair of aviator sunglasses, why they are great and why they are the right aviator sunglasses for you. Quality and design are key to a great pair of aviator sunglasses, and through due diligence and thorough research we have assembled products that are sure to please you, if not amaze you.
More importantly, over the years we have been asked a lot of questions about aviator sunglasses.
For example, one of the most confusing things is what the sizes really mean. When you see the size listed as 55mm, how did the manufacturer decide to use that number as the size, and why?
Or perhaps you want to remove that pesky logo on the lens, but don’t want to scratch it.
Maybe a tip has come off your bayonet temple and you need to replace it.
Together we will change the way the world sees aviator sunglasses and help create some great memories along the way.
