Article: Randolph Prescription Sunglasses Frames

Randolph Prescription Sunglasses Frames

Aviator Sunglasses and it's parent company Pilot Supplies & Sunglasses is an Authorized Randolph Engineering, Inc. Dealer for Sunglasses and RE Ranger Products for ove 20 years

One of the things that differentiates Randolph Engineering from other sunglass manufacturers is that it offers replacement parts for their sunglasses.

They also offer many of their frames without lenses for those who need prescription sunglasses.

This is because many Randolph owners keep their sunglasses for many years, in some cases for over 20+ years.

Since 1982 Randolph has been the primary supplier of sunglasses for the US Department of Defense, and the Aviator sunglasses are standard issue to US military pilots.

But over time our eyes change and there comes a time when we need prescription sunglasses.

Randolph has stepped up to the plate and offers many of their excellent frames as prescription frames for prescription lenses.

Randolph Prescription Sunglasses Frames

If you have Randolph sunglasses, have had them in the past, or just want the aviator style prescription sunglasses, we can help!

We offer a great selection of Randolph prescription frames, and whether you want Aviator or Concorde frames, we have you covered.

These frames come without lenses and come with the same Randolph Warranties, just like the sunglasses.

Once you have your prescription, and have purchased a pair of Randolph Prescription Frames, you have two choices:

  1. You can give them to your optometrist who will then send them in to an optical shop that makes the prescription lenses;
  2. We at Aviator Sunglasses also have a relationship with an optical company that makes prescription lenses for our customers.

More Choices With Our Prescription Lenses

One of the benefits of having us make your prescription lenses is that you have more choices.

For example, you can choose:

  1. The lens tint (color) that you would like;
  2. How light or dark your want your tint;
  3. Transition lenses (that change from clear to dark;
  4. Gradient tints.

To learn more about tint darkness check out this post on 'The Importance of Visible Light Transmission".

 If we can be of any help at all please let us know and we will do everything we can to help.

Keep your wings straight and level Hersch!
