American Optical AO Eyewear General Pilot Prescription Sunglass Frames
American Optical was the original manufacturer of eyewear frames in the US starting in 1826.
During the first and second World Wars AO provided eyeglass frames for all of the Allied Forces fighting overseas.
In 1958 they came up with the rectangular aviator sunglasses frame style called the Flight Goggle 58.
When American Optical was broken up and in August of 2005 the sunglasses division was sold and renamed AO Eyewear, Inc.
The frames are made right here in the US, are optical quality and are made of steel alloy.
They work very well for prescription lenses.
