Product Details
Finally. A pilot sunglass built for her.
The Method Seven Aviatrix wasn't adapted from a men's frame — it was engineered from scratch for the female aviator. Every detail, from the hair-friendly nose pads to the hand-tooled Japanese titanium frame, was designed with the woman in the cockpit in mind. Add Method Seven's proprietary Notch Filtering Technology and you get optics that don't just look great — they perform at altitude.
What the Aviatrix Does For You
- Sees what other sunglasses miss — Notch Filtering Technology selectively removes specific light wavelengths to sharpen contrast and clarity far beyond standard tinted lenses. Your instruments, the horizon, and traffic all pop with greater definition.
- Stays comfortable on long flights — The hair-friendly nose pad design prevents tangling and pressure points, so you can wear these for a 4-hour cross-country without thinking about your eyewear once.
- Fits under your headset without breaking the seal — The lightweight Japanese titanium frame flexes without bulk, preserving your headset's ear-cup seal and active noise cancellation on every leg.
- Keeps your panel fully readable — Non-polarized lenses mean LCD displays, glass cockpits, and avionics screens stay crisp and clear. No interference, no blind spots.
- Matches your flying conditions — Three VLT options (9%, 18%, 30%) let you choose the right tint for bright high-altitude sun, variable light, or overcast days.
- Works in the cockpit and beyond — A timeless aviator silhouette that transitions effortlessly from the flight deck to the FBO lounge.

No. Polarized lenses do not block UV rays better, nor do they provide better eye protection Polarized lenses are best if you live or spend a lot of time on the water. Remember, polarized lenses can cause problems when viewing LCD screens in aircraft and cars. They also can interfere with taking photographs by creating a rainbow effect in the viewfinder.
Do darker lenses block UV rays better?
No. UV protection is provided for lenses by a micro-thin layer that is applied to the lens material providing 100% UVA/UVB protection whether the lens is clear or dark.
About the founder
John M. White, ATP Pilot & Entreprenuer
I am a USAF veteran, former ATP corporate pilot, and an entreprenuer. One of the reasons I decided to create the Aviator Sunglasses website was to provide outstanding service for pilots, veterans, and outdoor sport enthusiasts.
During my flying years I discovered the importance of a great pair of sunglasses, not just those ordinary, off the shelf kind, that look good but that don't really protect your eyes, improve you vision, or provide a comfortable fit. That is why I have researched the marketplace and found the very best sunglasses that provide the best visual acutiy, eye protection, comfort, and durability.
Most importantly, I hate dealing with AI Customer service. I want everyone who visits this store to receive help from a real live person, not some AI generated help!
