Ray-Ban Aviator vs Randolph Concorde and AO General Sunglasses
I met my wife when I was still doing flight instruction, and once she started working on her Private Pilot license she decided to purchase some sunglasses.
Many of you have probably seen this image of General Douglas McArthur:

Here he is wearing Ray-Ban style Vintage Tear Drop Shaped sunglasses.
Once WWII was over aviator style tear drop sunglasses became very popular, and today you can find many brands like Randolph Concorde Tear Drop Sunglasses and AO Eyewear General Tear Drop Sunglasses.
Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses
One thing we noticed about the Ray-Bans was how thin the temples were on the sunglasses.
They would easly bend and my wife was constantly straighting them out!
But in 1999 Ray-Ban was sold to Lucottica and manufacturing was moved from the US to Italy and China.
Today when you purchase a pair of Ray-Ban aviators you don't know if they were made in Italy or China until you receive them and look in the box.
