Product Details
Your headset fits tight. Your sunglasses should too.
If your headset clamps close to your temples, most sunglasses become a problem — pressure points, broken acoustic seals, and constant adjustments mid-flight. The Method Seven Altitude was engineered specifically to solve that. Its ultra-thin Titanium/TR90 composite frame is the slimmest in the Method Seven lineup, disappearing under even the tightest-fitting headsets with zero discomfort and zero seal compromise.
And it doesn't stop at fit. Method Seven's proprietary Notch Filtering Technology selectively amplifies the visual signals your brain needs while suppressing the ones that cause fatigue. You don't just see less glare — you see better.
What the Altitude Does For You
- Fits under the tightest headsets without breaking the seal — The ultra-thin Titanium/TR90 composite frame is the slimmest in the Method Seven lineup. No pressure points, no acoustic seal compromise, no missed radio calls — even with close-fitting headsets and flight helmets.
- Reduces visual fatigue on long flights — Notch Filtering Technology creates a harmonious balance between what your eyes receive and what your brain processes. Your eyes work less, your situational awareness stays sharper, and you arrive less fatigued.
- Delivers optically superior clarity — SKY mineral glass lenses give you the sharpest possible view with full UV and glare blocking. Every instrument, every horizon, every traffic call — crystal clear.
- Eliminates side glare without losing peripheral vision — The 8-base wraparound design blocks light from the sides while keeping your scan pattern clean from takeoff to touchdown.
- Keeps your instruments readable — Non-polarized lenses mean LCD displays, glass cockpits, and avionics screens stay crisp and interference-free at all times.
- Matches your flying conditions — Three VLT options (9%, 18%, 30%) let you dial in the right tint for bright high-altitude sun, variable light, or overcast days.
The tightest fit. The sharpest vision.
3 lens options. One frame engineered for pilots who demand both.

The Method Seven Difference
Regular aviator sunglasses reduce brightness — but they don't improve vision. Your eyes still strain. Your brain still works overtime. Method Seven's Notch Filtering amplifies what helps and suppresses what doesn't, delivering sharper situational awareness and less visual fatigue on every flight.

Are Polarized lenses better than Non-Polarized lenses?
No. Polarized lenses do not block UV rays better, nor do they provide better eye protection Polarized lenses are best if you live or spend a lot of time on the water. Remember, polarized lenses can cause problems when viewing LCD screens in aircraft and cars. They also can interfere with taking photographs by creating a rainbow effect in the viewfinder.
Do darker lenses block UV rays better?
No. UV protection is provided for lenses by a micro-thin layer that is applied to the lens material providing 100% UVA/UVB protection whether the lens is clear or dark.
About the founder
John M. White, ATP Pilot & Entreprenuer
I am a USAF veteran, former ATP corporate pilot, and an entreprenuer. One of the reasons I decided to create the Aviator Sunglasses website was to provide outstanding service for pilots, veterans, and outdoor sport enthusiasts.
During my flying years I discovered the importance of a great pair of sunglasses, not just those ordinary, off the shelf kind, that look good but that don't really protect your eyes, improve you vision, or provide a comfortable fit. That is why I have researched the marketplace and found the very best sunglasses that provide the best visual acutiy, eye protection, comfort, and durability.
Most importantly, I hate dealing with AI Customer service. I want everyone who visits this store to receive help from a real live person, not some AI generated help!
