The owner of Scheyden is a pilot by the name of Jeff Herold, and when he began flying he couldn't find any comfortable sunglasses for pilots. The ones he tried pinched his ears where the arms (temples) went back over his ears by the headset he wore.

As a result, Jeff decided he would make some great pilot sunglasses for pilots.
