A3 Skywarrior Natural Wood Aircraft Model

This model is a wonderful representation of the Douglas A-3 Skywarrior.

The Douglas A-3 Skywarrior was designed as a carrier-based strategic bomber for the United States Navy. It first flew in 1952 and entered service in 1956. It was the heaviest aircraft designed to operate regularly from an aircraft carrier, which earned it the nickname "The Whale."

Later versions served as aerial refueling tankers (KA-3B) and electronic warfare aircraft (EA-3B). The Skywarrior flew with the Navy until 1991.

Handcrafted of solid mahogany, this model has hand-carved details and three coats of polyurethane finish for high gloss and rich wood grain, making it a great gift or desktop accessory.
